Our Story:
At Wood Signs by Design, we’re passionate about transforming felled trees into beautiful, functional art. Our journey began with Michael Zenner’s love for woodworking, inspired by his father, Gerhard. From humble beginnings rifling through scrap bins to running an urban sawmill, our story is one of dedication, family, and craftsmanship.
Our Craftsmanship: Each piece is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans who have honed their craft over decades. Our signs showcase the natural beauty of the wood, preserving the raw and organic appeal of the tree’s original unique shape and live edge natural curves. We “keep it green” by using only sustainable natural products and sourcing our wood exclusively from urban trees felled in the city, saving them from going to the landfill.
